This
past Spring, Gregor Bertram received his Masters of Science degree and
graduated with honors from the Tri-State College of Acupuncture, one of the
oldest accredited schools of Oriental medicine in the United States. His
training included hands-on clinical instruction in Japanese, Trigger-Point and
Traditional Chinese acupuncture under the direction of eminent master
practitioners including Kiiko Matsumoto, co-director of the Clinical
Acupuncture Course for physicians at Harvard Medical School, and Dr. Mark Seem,
creator of the modern Acupuncture Physical Medicine approach.
Gregor
is now officially recognized as a Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of
Connecticut, and continues to deepen his experience with Traditional Chinese
Medicine under the guidance of Arogya's illustrious Qigong Master Dr. Shuren
Wang. He also regularly studies with renown Master Practitioner Emile Connor,
PT, L.Ac, while focusing on Kiiko Matsumoto’s Japanese Meridian Style
acupuncture, a comprehensive approach fusing classical Chinese acupuncture with
Japanese Hara diagnosis and contemporary pathophysiology. The uniqueness of
this style has found great success in treating some of the most chronic and
complex of disorders. Structural, hormonal, neurological, autoimmune, and
psychological issues are treated with detailed care, while pain and discomfort
are usually granted immediate relief.
At Arogya, Gregor has
developed a practice dedicated to promoting patient well being in an
environment of comfort and trust, drawing from many healing traditions while
maintaining a deep connection to the time-honored principles of Classical
Chinese Medicine. In addition to his skills in acupuncture, further bodywork
modalities such as cupping, moxibustion, tuina, and Zero Balancing are
holistically interwoven in the customized care of each patient.
Words From Our Director
Ever since I can remember, I have been fascinated with my traditional Chinese heritage. The deep philosophic wisdom of the great sages, the sweet scent of freshly brewed green tea, the mouthwatering array of curative culinary delights, and the mystique of Chinese medicine, with its powerful therapeutic herbs and connection with nature’s profound energy, have all left deep and lasting impressions upon me. With the founding of Arogya Holistic Healing in 2000, it has been my intention to bring the great healing traditions of the East into our contemporary modern lifestyles, which are in such desperate need for true balance and wellbeing. Arogya successfully continues to provide a source for integrative Chinese medicine, Yoga, Massage Therapy, and Nutritional Counseling, while offering a comprehensive collection of organic fine teas, all-natural skincare products and personalized herbal remedies. Consistent with our mission of providing the very best in holistic health care, our dedicated team looks forward to being at your service…
